Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and FellowSeekers governing your use of our web application at fellowseekers.com. By accessing or using FellowSeekers, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1 Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using FellowSeekers in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2 Description of Service

FellowSeekers is a personal growth and life-awareness platform that helps users:

• Estimate their personalized life expectancy based on lifestyle habits
• Visualize time through life grids and arc charts
• Set and track intentional "bucket list" challenges
• Connect with a community of like-minded seekers

The service is provided free of charge and is available as a Progressive Web App (PWA) installable on any device.

3 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to use FellowSeekers. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

4 Your Account

FellowSeekers uses Google Sign-In for authentication. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your Google account secure (use a strong password and 2FA)
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

You must not share your account with others or use someone else's account without permission.

5 Acceptable Use

You agree to use FellowSeekers only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Post content that is harmful, abusive, hateful, or discriminatory
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Use the app for spam, phishing, or other malicious activity
• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or copy the FellowSeekers application
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the platform
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6 User-Generated Content

By posting comments or other content on FellowSeekers ("User Content"), you:

• Confirm you own or have the right to post that content
• Grant FellowSeekers a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content within the app
• Understand that your display name and profile photo will be visible to other users alongside your content
• Accept responsibility for ensuring your content does not violate any third-party rights

We do not endorse any User Content and reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion.

7 Health Disclaimer

The calculations shown in FellowSeekers are statistical estimates based on population-level research and the lifestyle data you enter. They are:

• Not a diagnosis, prognosis, or medical prediction for any individual
• Not a substitute for advice from a qualified medical professional
• Not validated for clinical or insurance purposes

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about your health, diet, or lifestyle. FellowSeekers accepts no responsibility for decisions made based on the estimates displayed in the app.

8 Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, text, graphics, and code on FellowSeekers (excluding User Content) are owned by or licensed to FellowSeekers and are protected by copyright and intellectual property law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any FellowSeekers content without our prior written consent.

9 Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

FellowSeekers is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• The life expectancy estimates are accurate for any individual
• Any content or data will not be lost or corrupted

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FellowSeekers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which in most cases is zero, as the app is free).

10 Termination

You may stop using FellowSeekers at any time. To request full account and data deletion, email hello@fellowseekers.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to FellowSeekers at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we decide to discontinue the service.

11 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date and notify users of material changes in-app. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
